So I've started recording too =) I need to learn a lot about how to use the recordingprogram and getting a good tone so advice on both playing and recording would be very nice!
I know I'm not the greatest player but I had fun doing these recordings. Weeks 2,5,6,7,13 and 14 to come!

- Week 1: Silent Night, Bodom Night intro
http://soundclick.com/share?songid=6809493

- Week 3: Hate Me! intro
http://soundclick.com/share?songid=6809496

- Week 4: Hellhounds on my Trail interlude (forgot to record 2nd track, probably doing it again soon)
http://soundclick.com/share?songid=6809705

- Week 8: Follow The Reaper
http://soundclick.com/share?songid=6809718

- Week 9: Everytime I Die solo (Mitch, I kind of stole the ending of your solo a bit but it sounds cool, so sorry for that xD)
http://soundclick.com/share?songid=6809731

- Week 10: Needled 24/7 intro
http://soundclick.com/share?songid=6809738

- Week 12: Roadkill Morning interlude
http://soundclick.com/share?songid=6809745

- Week 15: Kissing the Shadows intro

Those BT'S are under Epis copyright. You have to pay for the use

wow Flappy! way to come out of nowhere That's awesome tho, they sound good. Except if you're recording using a mic, I would suggest recording with line-in so your guitar comes out more clear.

No, i was just thinking if we should use backing in this thread, or only post the guitar recording.

Recording of the Week #16

Are You Dead Yet? (Intro - Bars 1 - 37)

Advanced - AYDY? Roopes Solo - (Bars 75 - 90)

I think it's Roopes solo anyway!

I'm just about to start doing all the ROTWs I've missed!

No it's not. Check the tab in the first post and see what bars Tim wrote. It's the pedal tone melody during the chorus that Roope plays.

Although, I wouldn't call it a solo or advanced.

I actually think that Roope's part on the non advanced part is trickier than the actual advanced part,

So now we have to go and pay Epi a shitload of money after being using his BTs for free for a loooooong of time?
I mean, if it's just for fun and we use them jsut for recordings here, without selling it and that stuff, we have never paid for them.

Altough this Roope melodie is somewhat easy (learned it in 3 minutes) iam going to record it now.
Only problem is iam tuned to d standard and cant do the rythm guitar of that part into the recording.

Would someone tuned to Drop c so kind and record it so we can lay it together ?
Otherwise i would have to use GP5 backing which is not so great

And yeah children of cob, we could do that part if you want and compare.

Do you got soundclick ?

Ok people, time for some more recordings!

13 - Rebel Yell (solo) I haven't recorded the intro cos I don't have the tab for it and I can't figure out the first part.

15 - Kissing The Shadows (advanced, take 2 lol) As when I asked for advice people told me that the harmonics in the first version were kinda weak and that the melodies and mini lead needed more work, I've tried to sort it out for this time. Let me know what you think!

Epi: But but but

Then you shouldn't have explained all the working of Fruity Loops and how to use it and share the soundfonts, cos we can just use them and make our own BTs. Maybe not as great as yours, but kinda similar and way better than GP midi.

Nope, I don't have Soundclick, but I can always record my part, send it to you and you put both together and upload them to your Soundclick.

Flappy, I'll upload your recordings to the soundclick later.

zirkonflex, you can play the chords in D standard too. Just ignore or change the note on the 6th string.
