Which Nightingale should I get?
My options are the ones available on The End. The only song I've hear by them is Shadowman, and the first instant I heard it, I wondered why I took so long to check them out... this song kicks my ass. Thus, I am considering Alive Again. I can't find any other MP3s so I'll take you guys' word on it...

i think you should get alll!!!!!!!
or the Nightingale + Madder mortem okey, seriously now, all nightingale albums are available from the end....so it all depends on what you'd prefer to listen: Breathing shadow, the first release, is recommended if you'd like a metal sound with some "gothic" touches...a great deal of keyboards involved! If you've heard "sacrificed" from Edge of Sanity\s Spectral sorrows and like it,then most probably you'll like The Breathing shadow,too...The songs are nice, quite uplifting and catchy, but generally the whole album sounds a bit weak The closing chronicles ! A M A Z I N G Let's say that is not so "gothic" sounded as the previous... It's a wonderful album, still not the best musically, but it's worth buying.... I adore it... It's a rather sad album, yet contains a wonderful song called "stea the moon""I".the most mature album in my opinion...all the songs sound very well worked... I dare to say that it's the most heavy of all, also with the some parts reminding me of older rock music, prog rock or sth...This is not so keyboard based as The breathing shadow... Definitely worth buying!! as for alive again, imho it's the most catchy of all..I guess that since you liked Shadowman you will like the whole album!! The nice thing is that the songs vary quite a lot,you\ll hear a lot of different hard styles there...I think it is simpler that the previous one,or so it sounds to me,but i guess it's a great proof that simplicity can also be beauty ![]() Overall comment for all albums... The music of nightingale is quite catchy and addictive.Musically it's not the supercomplex or advanced thing that will make your jaw drop and you to gape in astonishment, BUT nightingale have the gift of bewitching with their music.... I know my descriptions are not the best ever, but i hope the helped you a bit... When you get whichever you decide, come back to share your opinions with us /mel (my neck hurts ! typed a loooooot today)

Start with the breathing shadow since the entire albums are a story. So just get them one by one until you get Alive Again

Get either The Closing Chronicles or I for a start. Alive Again is definitely the catchiest Nightingale. It is very hard rock driven whereas TCC and I are prog rock. The first one TBS is goth stuff.
