I've heard this album... or song... for the first time ever, today. It is nothing short of amazing in its ridiculous length.

What do all of you think about this album/song?

I bought Crimson the week it was released, being an old Edge of Sanity / Dan Swanö fan. I was amazed the first time I listened to it, and it still remains one of my absolute favourite songs.

I just found out that Mikael did some work on "Crimson." Both guitar and vocals? Awesome.

I couldn't really tell, when I listened to it. =/

It's the higher pitched screams that are Mikael. He sounds kinda like Dan, so it\'s hard to tell. Mike does a solo also, I think it's after the "salvation lies in the hands of the shrewd, or the earth will die in solitude" part.

If i was to make a choice of just one song that would always be on my mind, i'd pick Crimson.

after die in solitude comes first anders mareby's death cello bizarre solo

and then just a bit of "verse" (if i can call it like that in crimson, it goes "the darkest night, the enchanted skies, were united in a storm")

The time has come for the king to dieeee! and then kicks in mike's solo.... one of the best metal solo's ever, im sure!

i love the way it ends!

At first I disliked Crimson, but once I actually listened to it properly, I fell in love.

Now I'd rank it as my 2nd album overall. Pure genius.

That's my favorite EoS album, too. Black Tears is my favorite EoS song, followed by Twilight, then Crimson / Crimson II. =)
