It's not a matter of preference for me, even the older albums, I find that each addresses a certain mood differently.

I guess it'd still be Tongues. Probably because the songwriting is near flawless and the lyrics are just some of the best ever written.

Tongues. Strangely it's the only one I remember. DT isn't much of a guitar hero band, they put more effort into the emotion.

Best albums lyrically are The Mind's I and The Gallery. In terms of songs, well, Tongues, On Your Time, A Bolt of Blazing Gold and Inside the Particle Storm would do it for me.

No, I prefer older stuff but I do not shun their recent work either. I respect a band as long as they play with meaning and passion. When a group of musicians become saturated of their own work, they need to take time off, or simply stop. DT haven't reached that point yet.
