Evergrey in Iceland

yup they're playing 2 gigs at the same club the 9th and 10th of this month

don´t know how they will be received and I think one gig would be enough
nivce to have some progressive melodic metal here

Actually, i talked with Mike about these gigs. Two gigs in the same town and venue, so i asked him how much CD's they sold in Iceland. About 2 he answered, one to Thorstein and probably one to a close friend of him, so that might be you

I heard Iceland hardly gets any (good) (metal) gigs at all, so when Evergrey is playing everybody will get over to the venue to see at least a band on stage. They might win a lot of news fans over in Iceland.

Have a lot of fun at the gig !

Henk

actually I know 2 other guys besides me and Thorsteinn that have Cds of theirs and a few guys that really dig the band

Thorsteinn has imported Pain of Salvation( who unfortunately couldn´t play) and Mastodon( USA) he's really giving metal a big kick in the arse here!

don't get the numbers too serious, it was more as a figure of speak, note the at the end of the line, hehehe. Of course they sold more CD's, but it's just too hard to understand for fans in other countries that they play two gigs in a country where they probably sold much less CD's as they sold in other countries they've never played and they probably will not play in the near future.

Enjoy the show and say Hi to Thor for me!

Henk

2 gigs are too much in my opinion, just throw all 4 warm-up bands in one night and let them play 30 minutes max. ; better atmosphere, more pepoool

well, they're probably playing 2 shows because it is expensive and difficult to get to Iceland...might as well play 2 shows while they're on that island!

maybe that´s it... but I dunno... you can have a free 3 day stopover in Iceland across the Atlantic if you buy tickets with Icelandair

Evergrey were on the second biggest TV station( played I´m sorry) here just before the main news and today they are in 2 of the most widespread newspapers!

Soundman Biffen? What happened to Arnold?

I bet you mean their guitar roadie? Yeah he is huge and a terriffic guy.

I was right in front of Henrik during the PP gig when he suddenly ran from left to the right on stage to replug Henrik's guitar since his plug went out. I was so close and didn't even had seen it was out but he did, all from the other end of the stage. Yeah he is good.

Henk
