Live in Tel Aviv

First of all, I wasn't expecting much. I saw them live already at Graspop 04 and I own the DVD.
But FUCK! It was great. The sound was awesome (which is kind of unusual for Israeli shows) and the band just played flawlessly. I have to say that Jari the new bassist is incredible. He adds so much more to the EG sound. Once, during Recreation Day, I was expecting a solo, and I got it, but I looked at both guitar players, but none of them was playing it. I thought maybe it was Rikard on the keyboards, but I could here a clear distortion. And then I saw Jari firing away - amazing. I especially liked his little touches in Solitude Within.

The setlist was (not in order):
Blinded
End Of Your Days
Rulers Of The Mind
Obedience
Still In The Water
Monday Morning Apocolypse
Nosferatu
Solitude Within
I'm Sorry
Recreation Day
As I Lay Here Bleeding
Mark Of The Triangle
---
When The Walls Come Down
A Touch Of Blessing
The Masterplan (we did the crowd singing thing like in the DVD - hella fun!)

I may have missed one or two.
All in all, I recommend not to miss them if they come around.

Some pics (from my cell, so low quality):

Smile a dream come through...

well great show as said before.
the guys were so nice humble & friendly.
after the gig there was a massive meet & greet....
they sat for an hour and a half & signed discussed & talked to us.....wow what a treat !!!!
i think they had a great time in israel & was surprised to see hard core fans that sang every word along the show.
i hope they will be back next summer.
i personally fulfilled a dream for so many years & met them.
such a warm humanly funny people....& superv musicians.
i am sure the upcoming cd is gonna be great.
stay grey
peace....
