Recreation Day?

What exactly is a "Recreation Day" anyway? Is it a Scandanavian thing? I've never heard that term.

Great album BTW.

It has something to do with someone close to you dying. Evergrey meant for it to resemble a person forgetting the norms of the day such as work and other typical daily tasks to kind of look back on the meaning of life, death, and other such things due to this death. A person takes this "recreation day" to figure out what they feel really is important to them in life. It also has to do with mourning death and sometimes days like this bring us back to wondering if death is fair or not. Something else we think about during this day are whether there really is life after death or not. All of these themes are covered throughout the course of the album as a whole.
