Audio samples throughout In Search of Truth

Does anybody know from where the audio samples of the guy (saying "I have decided to keep this tape recorder with me at all times....") come off of In Search of Truth? Is it from a movie?

As far as I know that's just Tom himself.

I'd be willing to bet my life on the fact that it is NOT Tom. You can clearly hear the voice at the beginning of "The Masterplan" and that guy definitely has no accent. From watching Evergrey's DVD, Tom definitely has an accent when he speaks. Also, you can tell that the guy at the beginning of "The Masterplan" is the same guy speaking throughout the album. I know it is taken from an AMERICAN movie, just not sure which one.

at 0:05 into The Masterplan, you can hear a short piano part [4 notes] from State of Paralysis. I've always wondered if this was intentional or just a hick-up.
