BASS DROP SAMPLE

Does anyone have the bass drop sample in wav they can upload or email to me. You know the subsonic low end explosion drum sound found on the Roland v -kit brain or can be heard on As I lay dying cd, Chimaira and others ? Thanks

I'd really appreciate this too.
failing_retina@hotmail.com

Alternatively, just some similair, that's powerful and bassy without distorting speakers.

Thank you
Andy

Thanks for the reply. Your sound is a rap bass drum like when the homies drive down the street blazing Jayzee so loud their trunks rattle. The sound is actually a bit different. I appreciate your effort though. I really do. This is like the hardest sample to find for some reason. Your rap bass drum , verbed, eq'd pitch shifted and still not quite the right sound though.

Yup, I make mine too. Sine wave, pitch shift, and compress it to get a litte punch at the beginning.

not to knock anybody or be a negative nancy sometimes bass drops can be totally cool, but honestly they are so overused. I saw chimaria a while back and there performance was awesome but by the third song I had heard like 25 bass drops...........

Thanks everyone for all the info. I ended up using NOWHERECATASTROPHE's Sample and pitchshifted it. Thanks.

Thanks for the cool samples. I usually make my own bass drops. Haven't done one in a while, although this Lacuna remix has inspired me to...

Since the thread was dredged up, does anyone tune their subdrops to the key of the song? I started doing this about a year ago, and found that it makes a HUGE difference, especially live.

Yep, hence why I posted the link to the subatomic synth. Everybody else is doing it wrong.
How do you implement your subdrops live, Jordon? Do you have your mixer/drummer trigger them?

cheers,
Mario

We run a Mac laptop with Ableton Live 8 and Battery. We program out our set with our backing tracks/synths and subdrops, and our drummer listens to a mix of that, monitors and a click track. We play off of him, though at some point, we will all have click going to in-ears for certain parts of songs.

Our drummer triggers Battery with the Synesthesia Corp. Mandala drum pad. There are some samples that replace elements of his kit, and for a more natural sound, he uses the pad for those.

Talking Bass Drop sample

Here's one a made in Audacity.
3 Second Drop.mp3 - 0.03MB
Sounds HUGE through a sub. Knocked my headphones off my desk and it rattles my TV casing.
Enjoy all!
