Randall T2 worth to go?

Hi there!

Until now I thought that Hybridamps like the T2 were just cheaper alternatives for fulltube amps.

And now I discovered that Gus plays T2 - a pretty expensive hybridamp to my mind. To my very sorrow we have no dealers around here that sell Randall amps. Can the T2 really hold up to its opponents from Engl or Peavey?

Thank you very much!

Cheers,
Michi

That's up to you. Just listen to the Premonition as Gus used the T2 on there, but maybe he did some re-amping as well. I personally prefer the tone on Between Heaven and Hell which Gus apparently used a Fender Roc Pro hybrid amp on.

Well, I read that on the Premonition used a blend of the T2, a 6505 and another amp (which I don't remember).

Does anybody know if the setting here are indeed those which Gus uses?

I have a picture that I took during the Kamelot tour but it is pretty blurred. As far as I can see the mid knob was way more on the right sight there...
