I Hate Avatars/Signatures!

Not everyone likes seeing the avatars and/or signatures on posts, and the good thing is you can disable seeing these in your profile. Just follow the steps as below:
[list=1][*]Go into your profile to 'edit options'[*]Scroll down to where it says Show user's signatures or Show user's Avatars (depending on what you want to disable)[*]Select No to turn these off[/list=1]

And it's that simple! From then on, any posts you read will not have avatars or signatures included (and if you find this not to be the case, be sure to let us know!).

This will only work for you if you're registered, of course!

Mark, my signature pic ain't working al of a sudden. It used to work fine, and I haven't touched it. What happened??

HTML is no longer enabled in signatures, so you need to use the vB code equivalent

So, it would be:

[ center ][ img ]http://hedlpstorage.homestead.com/files/blitzkrieg.jpg[ /img ]

Iron, In The Soul...

But without the spacings in the codes

An alternative suggestion, for those who hate some avatars and signatures but don't want to turn them off completely. This only works if you use Firefox, which you should anyway.

1. Install the adblock plugin by either simply clicking the link on that page, or downloading the file and then dragging and dropping it into your Firefox extensions window.

2. Restart Firefox.

3. Right click the offensive signatures/avatars in question and select "Adblock Image". Voila! The image now disappears and won't reappear again. If at some point in the future you feel like un-blocking something, go into Tools -> Adblock -> Preferences and delete the appropriate entries.
