Have A Listen...

Hey all at Oak Knoll... I'd like to invite you to have a listen to my band Rainwound!

It's a one-man band based out of Burgettstown, PA. I play all the instruments myself, including electric and acoustic guitar, bass, keyboards, and vocals. The percussion is programmed, but I wouldn't mind having a session percussionist involved for studio recordings as long as he was able to endure the material and the long song lengths.

Influences of the band include (but are not limited to) Opeth, Pain of Salvation, Nobuo Uematsu, Bloodbath, Glass Hammer, Aeon Spoke, Dredg, Emperor, Maudlin of the Well, The Flower Kings, Dark Suns, Ayreon, etc etc etc.....

You can check out four full songs at http://www.myspace.com/rainwound and short clips of each song at http://www.rainwound.2ya.com/ <-- the official site. The demo, which is a blueprint for the first full-length, is completed and clocks in at around 75 minutes. Some things are missing from the demo recordings, including ambiance, vocals, etc.. but will be present on the final demo recording which is currently under production.

Rainwound has been described (by some) as a 'black metal jam band'..

I've been self-releasing the demos myself through the website + myspace, and taking care of all the advertising and such but I wouldn't mind help if anyone's interested.
