That's the Revelation and shit... I think he means a complete obliteration of civilization and an essential restart.

Of course that's not what I meant. Humans will not be around forever. The earth is quite an amazing thing and is able to defend itself quite well. IE the Ice Age.

It sure as hell better. The Human Race is overrated. Unless of course we expand (inter-solar-system) then of course me might avoid that for a few billion years

The word Apocalypse means Revelation. When you say Apocalypse you generally mean Revelation, i.e. biblical eschatology. I was nit picking.

Ah yes. I guess it all depends on how your using the word. But you are correct, the traditonal use is to mention the Revelations and shit. That's all fake (or atleast I believe it is) so I'm not worrying about a second comming.

We do not have the resources to colonize other worlds in mass numbers. Even by the time we have the technology the resources required will be squandered and heck there might not be much of us left anyway.
