The new Xasthur is pretty easily the worst of his career. Disappointing considering how solid Subliminal Genocide was from start to finish. People who say that every Xasthur album is the same obviously aren't listening too closely. TWTD and TVTO are the only two that are very similar. The new one has several new elements, and it has taken a slower, doomier direction, but it is wildly inconsistent.

I liked Xasthur only in a few things and projects mainly his early work and his stuff with Sunn 0))).

Why do you care? It's not like you, or anyone, can keep the world from finding out about black metal. Those interviews probably discourage as many people as they bring in.
