I hardly think good black metal stops at Ulver, Satyricon and Emperor. You've got plenty of good shit ahead of you. Read this thread moar!

I'll be getting Bergtatt in the near future as well.

Arrgh! I hate when people call them "Wolf and <insert word>". The titles are I, II, III, IV, etc. The Wolf part is some American invention.

Don't worry bluewizard, you're not even close to acquiring all the classics. And when in doubt, go old school. That's what I did. Celtic Frost, Bathory, Venom, Mercyful Fate. Classic after classic.

So I was always under the impression that Behexen kind of sucked, but now that I'm hearing otherwise, would anyone mind illegally uploading one of their albums and sending it to me via PM? I already listened to the songs on myspace, but I'd like to hear what they can do for a full album before I can commit myself to putting out cash for generic black metal.

PM sent. If you weren't serious for some reason, I apologize in advance.

I'm listening to their freebie track "Born in the Serpent of the Abyss" from their new album and it's pretty rockin'. I'll definitely look for this when it comes out.

I enjoy all of them thoroughly except, for some odd reason, Pandemonic Incantations. I can't get into it for some reason. I haven't heard Thelema.6, either, but every other CD is great.
