Crackdust - Dented Reality will certainly be in my top 10 of 2007. I've been spinning it like there's no tomorrow. It sounds like it was recorded in the early 90s, both in terms of production and songwriting. It's straightforward, downtuned, old school death metal. I wonder if the old school feel has something to do with the bands location (Botswana, Africa).

To the Nameless Dead is my favorite of 2007 as well. And V Halmstad is also a great album would rank in my top 10 of the year.

Exactly. The metal genre is dominated by white Americans and northern Europeans. And it's cool to see others taking up metal. Also, the idea of a metal band from a third world country is cool.
That being said, everyone should check out my review of Crackdust's debut.
