Boston is probably the best of the geographically inspired rock bands.

Kansas fucking rules. Boston were also the fathers of the harmonized heavy rock guitar riff In Flames ripped off that sound!

I still haven't listened to my copy yet. I could have today, but I ended up spinning The Rack instead.

It's really good mid-paced death metal. I found it tedious at first because of the length of each song but it really grew on me today for some reason.

By "just a metalhead", I take it you mean "a metalhead with no appreciation for music outside of metal".

The first album is the only truly good one, from my understanding. Though there are 2 or 3 songs on the second that I thought were pretty cool

Kansas is such crap. They have like 3 good songs ("Carry On Wayward Son", "Point of Know Return", "Dust in the Wind"), and everything else is boring as hell.

I've said this again and again but "For All Suckers" is the best sarcastic death metal song ever.

Check out Extinction, I find it to be quite a bit better. Rare as fuck, unfortunately.

Yeah, I was gonna say. I can't seem to find that one anywhere. Actually, I found one on eBay for like $57 but fuck that.
One day, I hope there's like a massive OSDM album re-issuing where everything from the original is preserved.
