The Thread Where You Talk About Music You Like
Talk about any bands you love here. Feel free to recommend stuff to each other. Get along. This is in direct contrast to the multitude of useless, silly "war" posts lately.

Well currently I'm spunking my boxers over...
Watain - Casus Luciferi
Nattefrost - Blood and Vomit
Deathspell Omega - Inquisitors of Satan
Blood Red Throne - Affiliated With The Suffering
Amon Amarth - Once Sent From The Golden Halls
Morgion - Cloaked By Ages, Crowned In Earth
Ulver - Nattens Madrigal
I would ask for recommendations but to be honest, I have no idea of what I really want at the moment

I've been listening to:
Deathspell Omega - Si Monvmentvm Reqvires Circvmspice
Blut Aus Nord - The Work Which Transforms God
Spawn of Possession - Cabinet
Maudlin of the Well - Bath and Leaving Your Body Map
Immolation - Close to a World Below
Demilich - Nespithe
Nokturnal Mortum - Lunar Poetry
Graveland - Thousand Swords
This is the metal I've been listening to lately. I've been on a black metal spree for awhile since I got Deathspell Omega's latest.
Non-metal I'm listening to:
John Scofield - Up All Night
Muse - Absolution
Autechre - ep7
Aphex Twin - RJD album
Miles Davis - The Bitches Brew Compilation
Messiaen - The Bird Album
It'd be cool if people recommended more brutal tech death, avantgarde metal, black metal with excellent songwriting, I already know quite afew, more wouldn't hurt at all.
Also some jazz, classical and electronic ambient recommendations would be sweet. Thanks.

I just got introduced to Agalloch and holy shite...I'm pretty much blown away. I appreciate everyone listing all the bands that are a little hard to find because I would not have heard of them otherwise. I've also got Opeth in my player and Samael and Primus.
Can anyone suggest any starter death metal bands that don't sound like carbon copies of each other? I'm interested in Demilich but can't find any of their stuff to download. I've got Soulseek but it never seems to work.
