Stoner doom usually has bluesy riffs, a sense of humor or playfulness in some aspect, slow rhythmic or tribal drumming and sounds noticeably more overdriven/amorphous than "true" doom. They're really fucking similar a lot of the time, but stoner doom is usually more obscure and hard to get into.

Stoner doom is basically the modern non-gloomy, "Sabbath influenced" trad doom. Not my cup of tea.

The only stoner doom I listen to is Electric Wizard and Lamented Souls. Haven't bothered to try out anything else. Sleep kind of bores me, tbh.

The only thing I listen to that even remotely resembles stoner doom is Cathedral and Black Sabbath, if that counts. And I have to be in the right mood for them.
