I started getting into Doom not too long ago. So, when I saw this link in a search engine, I looked into it. I checked out bands everyone has suggested. I basically dig Doom, I don't care what sub-category. The latest albums I bought are

My Dying Bride....Turn Loose the Swans.... floored me

Cathedral Forest of Equilibrium ...A classic

Evoken...A Caress of the Void....This album is amazing!!

I only have the "Shades of..." by Shape Of Despair, and it's pretty good. I think it needs to grow on me. Are the other albums by them better (in your opinion)?

Angels In Distress is pretty good, and I've only listened to their latest album once while I was falling asleep. So I don't remember much.

Shades Of... is my favorite of the three.

I only have Illusion's Play which is pretty amazing especially the song.

Has anybody else noticed that Dunwich by Electric Wizard sounds like it should be one of the songs in an episode of The Mighty Boosh, it's really off-putting.
