Omnium Gatherum
Any one else dig this band? I really dug Spirits and August Light, and the one after was pretty cool. I think they are one of the few remaining decent melo-death albums and they hold their own sound.

I have their first two. I like Years In Waste a little better. I need to get their latest album. Track 7 (forget the title) on YIW sounds musically, like Opeth. They are unique on most of their songs.

Spirits and August Light is one of the most fucking badass melo-death albums ever.

I think years in waste woulda been better if the production was more like that of the August Light. Heavier, fuller guitars and they Key board loud enough to hear easily. I definately think Years need the keyboard turned up.

I really liked Spirits and August Light, but i never really listened to the one after it that much, and i don't remember liking it especially. recently i stumbled across the new one, Stuck here on snakes way and figured i'd check it out since i really liked spirits and august light, but i wasn't too impressed by it except for a few tracks (mostly the production really seemed thin to me and that ruined a lot of it). so basically to me it seems like they only have one good album, unless i'm totally missing something on the others.

I like the music a little better on YIW, but you can't go wrong with the first 2. I read a review a few months ago that said the latest album was not so good. The reveiw said they were going the Katatonia route...which isn't the worst thing, but it'd be a shame if they abandoned what I feel are two pretty original albums in YIW, and SAAL.

The debut is pretty spectacular, as V5 indicated. Years in Waste is also quality I find, it receives more hate than it actually deserves (not as good as Spirits mind you, but it is still decent).
Stuck Here on Snake's Way sucks for the most part though.

Yes there is. Check out Cipher System, Detonation and Holymarsh (R.I.P.).
