Mine frequently involve intense vertigo. Can be fun. Can be unpleasant.
Last night I dreamed that everything was flooded with a couple feet of water and there was a crocodile/shark in my room, only he couldn't come out of the water. It ended with me escaping from clone troopers. Can't remember what came between those two.

I used to have a recurring dream about zombies. Wasn't a nightmare, though, more like chilling out in a cellar somewhere with a bunch of other survivors while zombies clawed at the roof.

Sometimes I hate wasting my time searching for crappy student summer jobs. For instance, I had an interview with another student who is running a student-run window washing business over the summer. The first interview went well enough I thought, so he emails me back requesting to do a second interview. I respond with a time that would work for me and ask him that perhaps he can call me this time (phone interview btw) since it is quite the long distance from Waterloo, Ontario to Ottawa, Ontario. Days pass, and I hear nothing from the guy, so I send another email to find out what is going on. Then this morning I get this curt response:

Sorry Dude, I decided to take someone else. I didn't think it'd be a problem that you would have to call me considering I'm offering you a job.

It should be pretty obvious how deceitful this guy is. He offered me a second interview to which I agreed and then decided against it later when I had heard nothing from him in nearly a week. To make matters worse, he seems to think I am borderline retarded by using the long distance excuse to cover his own ass for lying to me in the first place (requesting a follow-up interview and then not following through) since I merely *suggested* it to begin with. Second, his response says that he was offering me a *job*, well that was news to me considering all that he ever said to me was that he wanted a second interview.

So yeah, I am a bit perturbed by the gull this guy has to blame me for his own incompetence/questionable moral character, resulting in me writing this aggravated response (to which I somewhat regret writing now):

So you offer me a second interview and then decide to take it away--out of nowhere I might add--after I hear nothing back from you for a few days? And don't misplace your blame on me suggesting that you call me--clearly we could have worked something out but I was left in the dark. Thanks a lot. Really. Next time I would appreciate it if you would simply tell me the truth about what you were thinking; telling people they have second interviews when they really don't is just deceitful. I am sorry if this email appears critical but think how you would feel if you were me, offered a second interview, no contact for days, and then shunned for no good reason at all. Whatever though, if that's how you wish to run your business it is not my prerogative.


And that's where the chronicle ends, so far at least. Lesson learned: always question others' words, especially if you have not meet them in 'real life'.

One thing I learned about job hunting is that you should NEVER tell a potential employer to call YOU at a specific time. They like aggressive job hunters, which means YOU must call them at the time most convenient for THEM. I learned this the hard way last month.

Employers can be real assholes, but you just have to play along because that's the only way you can get a job.

Maybe it could be two different dreams. You just think that they were the same one.
