I've only been able to watch a handful of Yankee games and I've had to skip something like four or five games that I could have gone to.
It sucks, but on the other hand, the Yankees probably aren't worth watching this time of year. Seriously, they ALWAYS suck for the first couple of months, and my Mom is ALWAYS all fucking doom and gloom about it. Though my boy Jorge going on the DL is worrisome... A-Rod took BP the other day and he's feeling fully recovered, so I'm not worried about him.

Be afraid...very afraid!
Honestly, I respect and fear the Yanks always...until I mathmatically know they are out.
The Sox had the whole Japan trip, then more travel and a very tough April schedule. I was hoping for atleast a .500 start, and got much better than that...and thats with Big Papi doing the big poopoo. The very bright side is the Sox youth is really making an impact (now) along with the older vets / stars.

I can't watch the Royals' offense. D'Backs, on the other hand, are doing well.

Three straight shutouts and 31 straight scoreless innings! I feel like my baseball fanhood has a purpose!

Nice win for the Sox.
Jed Lowrie is better than Lugo. Theo is going to trade Lugo, Crisp and Tavares at the break...this team will be even better for it.

I don't know who the fuck would take Lugo, but it shouldn't be hard to find teams that want Crisp or Tavares.

I'm actually kind of happy. I'm usually a fan of the underdog and I really like Carlos Pena for some reason (he's currently destroying my fantasy team's batting average). Before the season people were saying the Blue Jays might have a shot at second place, but it appears that the Rays are that team this year. Hell if the Yankees keep up their bad play/injuries and the Sox get pummeled by injuries, we could witness history. I don't foresee that happening, but it would be interesting

Indeed. Honestly, despite the mild animosity that seems to exist between the Rays and Yankees, I'm having a tough time not rooting for them to be for real. I mean obviously I always want the Yanks to dominate and win it all, but damn it if I wouldn't get a ton of satisfaction out of seeing the Rays win big this year.
And B.J. Upton. I love that crazy foot action he's got going on when he hits!
Also, point three: Despite everything I stated above, Johnny Gomes can go and fuck right off. I would be totally fine with it if he got tuberculosis (tb lol) and died slowly.
