It's a symbolic gesture, and, in my opinion, a very important one. It demonstrates that Bush is and has been operating not under the will of the people, and it shows that we're not completely retarded if we impeach one guy for getting his cock sucked but leave the other one alone for far, far, far worse. It doesn't even really matter if he's actually impeached.

As a symbolic gesture it makes total sense. I was not questioning the veracity of the motion, I was questioning the poor timing. The timing makes it, in the practical sense, pointless, but in the historical, symbolical sense, it is important. You make an excellent point here. | |
