How fast is your internets?
Just wondering how speeds differ around the world. Australia is supposed to be pretty far behind America. Any of you got super fast broadband yet?

I'm using a Dell Inspiron laptop through a 4 year old router. I didn't except it to be blazing fast. hehehheheheh

Mine just failed terribly. My download speed was about .45 mb/s .
@ Satanstoenail - Wasn't Australia supposedly kickass for internet connections with those incredibly fast lease lines? You're the internet dude so you're probably right anyway.

Not sure, as far as I've heard from my work we've always been behind countries like America, although when I went there in 08 I wasn't impressed by any fast speeds at all.
We've got superfast broadband coming in here soon, at the moment we can get up to about 30 mbps max with cable (not sure about adsl) but with superfast it should increase to around 100 mbps. There is also talk of upgrading all networks and bringing fibre-optic into the home, which could produce speeds of up to a gigabit per second, but that's a way off yet I think. Imagine all the porn, just imagine. |

Trololololol (University connection in student halls, my internet back home in the countryside is like .5 mb/s hahah)
Also I think the default speedtest server might actually be part of the Uni network or something, I'll try it on a different one some time.
