Brands notwithstanding, I'm a fan of hefe-weizens, amber/darker ales, golden lagers and pilsners. Prefer German, Belgian & Czech varieties, but this is not mandatory.

Spaten has some pretty rockin ones, and then they have some pretty awful ones. Stick to the Spaten Premium Lager or the Optimator all night, and you should be doing good by the time the headliner comes on.
