I only heard their acoustic album, but may I say that Frostmoon Eclipse are horrendous.

Thats pretty short sighted and close minded on your part to say that they are horrendous based on their "one off" acoustic album. Their black metal stuff is pretty damn intense and original but....you wouldn't know.

Oh yeah...kudos to Ars Magna for giving it a shot!!!!

velnias is garbage. I've seen them play in Chicago on numerous occassions. Their live set is basically 45 minutes of young kids playing generic mid paced black metal with a rockstar attitude. In general, It's a shame what the folk scene is turning into. It's definately a FAD in europe. Whatever band who can pose to be the most finnish or folk appearing can cash in, and now it's taking a similar direction here. At least we have bands like GRAVELAND, TEMNOZOR, and PANTHEON who are staying true to the roots of what pagan black metal should be.........

Yeah, while I thought your assessment of Velnias was a bit harsh, I have to agree here. The more trendy it becomes to be as "folky" as possible, the more generic the genre is becoming. It's really starting to feel like the current version of the melodic death metal movement of the early part of the decade that led to countless copycat bands looking to cash in on a particular music scene and water it down to the point where hardly anything feels fresh, original or inspired anymore.

Holy shit. Can you imagine if Temnozor were to play this show? That, my friends, would be amazing. Can we add them to the sponsorship thread or is it too late?

Yeah... if it wasn't for the whole "Every submen buying or distributing this record does contribute to his future annihilation 14/88" they'd be a shoe-in.

WHITE THUNDER ROARS!

Regardless of what EricT said above that would probably disqualify Temnozer, I firmly believe the sponsorship poll thread was not representative of what the final 5 confirmed bands will look like. I believe it was just a thread to see how much money could be raised to entice one or more particular bands to take the plunge. At this rate, I'm doubtful any of the bands in that thread will be confirmed with the possible exception of Gates of Snoozer since they reside on this side of the Atlantic.

Pagan Altar is from London, dude.

And as for Temnozor... seriously, so fucking awesome, but yet so god damn NS...

"Thunder and lightning,
The woods against sky
Starlit cold waters
Reflect in blue eyes

Scarlet the sunset,
Pure is our blood
Baptized shores
Await us afar...

Hailed be the Panzer,
Old Faith of Hammer
By Fires and Murder
White Thunder Roars

Burn their temples
Burn to the ground
Allfather of battle
Calls us for War

Plunder and Pillage
Triumph and Conquest
Power and Wisdom
The Will of Our Kind

Hailed be the Panzer
Old Faith of Hammer
By Fires and Murder
White Thunder Roars

White Devils of Glory
The swords against sky
Red be the mornings
By the Blood of the Sons

While twilight comes brown
White is the colour
The only one colour
I'll paint the Night

Hailed be the Panzer,
Old Faith of Hammer
By Fires and Murder
White Thunder Roars

Eternity calls Us
By the voice of Our Blood
The legends still live on
By the Faith of the Sons

Mad is our century
Yet We still believe
Death or Valhalla
Our Weapons and Dreams

Hailed be the Panzer,
Old Faith of Hammer
In the days of Ragnarok
White Thunder Roars"
