Basically what im wondering is how do you give these points? Or is it a way of saying good post?

Matter of factly-
Deron, I think you should maybe make some kind of feature like this. That way the best posters, or valuable( with the most helpful discussion etc) can get recognition, and likewise for shit posters etc.

Well, that is SUPPOSED to be what the rep system is for....
I do have plans for making certain poster noteworthy with badges etc. in the near future.
