I read Crime and Punishment a few months ago. I just finished reading Poor Folk and the Gambler and now I am going to read Netochka Nezvanova which is an unfinished work of his.
Bulgakov and Chekhov are on my list of Russian books to read. For the last few months almost everything I've been reading has been Russian: Solzhenitsyn, Pushkin, Tolstoy, Turgenev, Dostoyevsky. I love it!
I don't believe that musicians from the bands you mentioned post here. As far as behavior... well just don't be too insulting to people and you should be fine.

I own the Master and Margarita and hope to read it soon. I will have to look into Dog Heart. As far as Chekhov I am going to borrow a book of short stories of his from a friend. It has Ward 6 in it but I'm not sure what other stories it has. As far as Solzhenitsyn I read One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich in high school and Cancer Ward recently. The latter was so depressing but excellent at the same time.
Do you enjoy any Russian, Ukrainian or other Eastern European metal bands? I love Nokturnal Mortum, Temnozor, Drudkh, Graveland and Behemoth. I think some of the best metal bands of the last fifteen years are coming out of eastern europe.

Россия!!!

Thanks for "Россия!!!"
Concerning the Russian and former soviet republics metal bands, I like some of them: Noct.Mortum are good, Behemoth were one of my favourite for some period; as for others, I dislike the so called NSBM(national socialistic black metal), as for me they sound cheap. There are such bands as Rakoth(Orenburg)-pagan black and Arcanar-dark black, they are really good, professional and sound savoury as european ones, not only in case of recorded sound, but the whole concept. But it's only my oppinion, I don't stand on it.I hope for Poland speed-dead bands
May I ask a question, what you think about prog muz
