Just came back from the theaters to see Hellboy II: The Golden Army. What an amazing film! I loved the first film, but this one blows it out of the water. Awesome special effects, great storyline and a killer soundtrack to boot.
And just seeing Hellboy and Abe drink a few cans of Tecate while singing "Can't Smile Without You" is worth the price of admission. (Which means Linda has to go see this movie. ![]() ![]() )

The bigger budget allowed this movie to have larger on-screen effects, but I think I enjoyed the first movie's storyline, and wisecracks, more. My g/f can't imagine I go to movies like this, but it's for entertainment purposes, I don't expect any serious dialog or earth-shaking social statements.
I don't remember Hellboy comics, I must have been long past the comic stage by then. |

Hellboy is a pretty new character, having just been introduced in the mid-1990s. That was around the time I quit collecting comics.

I have the first series, before he left the BPRD. Got my copy of The Right Hand of Doom signed by Ron Perlman, Guillermo Del Toro and Doug Jones (unfortunately Mike Mignola wasn't at this one event)
