I'm so sorry to hear about your brother's heart attack, Nancy! I sure hope he will be okay and listen to you and the advice of his doctors I'm sure he has been given. (pretend this is red wine that the smiley is holding up! Haha!)

Hey Jeremy, it's more fun posting and reading about the stuff you shouldn't eat on a regular basis!

I'm tempted to buy a bottle of the Alto Medrano Syrah I posted earlier, as it's $6.

BTW, if you guys happen to have an Asian market near your area (Mark & Linda, I highly recommend Seafood City at the corner of Woodman and Roscoe), go to the candy/cookies section and get yourself a can (or two) of chocolate Love Letters. Last I checked, the big 1 kg. can was going for under $8.

Of all the foods on that site, the Snickers pie is probably the only one that's tolerable (and the Bacon Explosion, but that's another story). Everything else is just forced and a waste of good food. And I hate it when people give bacon a bad name by putting it on food groups it doesn't belong, such as dessert and ice cream.

The 20 Unhealthiest Drinks in America

Damn, I used to drink half of that list. And I'm surprised to see VitaminWater and Jamba Juice on the list.

$1,000 Ice Cream
found the ingrediants (i was curious about the dessert caviar):

The Golden Opulence Sundae, the "World's most expensive sundae", was created to celebrate Serendipity's 50th Anniversay last year. (If you are paying attention, the 50th anniversary is the "golden" anniversary. Get it?)
Made with "5 scoops of the richest Tahitian vanilla bean ice cream infused with Madagascar vanilla and covered in 23K edible gold leaf, the sundae is drizzled with the world's most expensive chocolate, Amedei Porceleana, and covered with chunks of rare Chuao chocolate, which is from cocoa beans harvested by the Caribbean Sea on Venezuela's coast. The masterpiece is suffused with exotic candied fruits from Paris, gold dragets, truffles and Marzipan Cherries. It is topped with a tiny glass bowl of Grand Passion Caviar, an exclusive dessert caviar, made of salt-free American Golden caviar, known for its sparkling golden color. It's sweetened and infused with fresh passion fruit, orange and Armagnac. The sundae is served in a baccarat Harcourt crystal goblet with an 18K gold spoon to partake in the indulgence served with a petite mother of pearl spoon and topped with a gilded sugar flower by Ron Ben-Israel."

oooo la la!

Yeah, and to wash that all down, you gotta have the most expensive coffee in the world. (If you've seen The Bucket List starring Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman, you know what I'm talking about.)

So I visited this site again. The sheer amount of unhealthy dishes added since I first posted this link astounds me. What will they think of next other than deep-fried cheeseburger on a stick, bacon cream cheese rolls, Lardz (sugar-coated deep-fried lard balls) and cheeseburger waffles?

Has anyone tried these sandwiches? Apparently, they're famous because they were among Elvis' favorites.

Peanut Butter, Banana and Bacon Sandwich
Fool's Gold Loaf

El Pollo Loco just announced they have some beef with KFC, and they just exposed KFC's "secret recipe" in their grilled chicken.

Ah yes, Kopi Luwak !!! I was given a 1/2 lb of this ULTRA expensive coffee bean for my birthday from a certain generous drummer-girl. I had heard yarns and tales of this mystic beverage over the years but had never tried it. Shortly after my birthday, Motorhead's guitarist Phil Campbell and I returned to my humble abode at about 4:00 AM, both completely off our faces, so we decided to throw caution to the wind and try a cup of the elusive nectar of the gods....Kopi Luwak! It was Wonderful, Decadent and Tasted Great (considering it costs about $75 an 8oz cup it bloody well should!). I next had a cup with Riggsy one evening. We now refer to it as "Monkey Poop Coffee". Regretably, the lovely Miss Courtney who is one of the biggest coffee junkies around refuses to try even a small sip. Alas, perhaps one day ! If any one of you ever gets the chance (before you make THAT face) give it a try. But be warned, it can be an expensive Jones and a cruel mistress! It's God's way of telling you that you don't make enough $$$$$$$$$$$.

Kopi Luwak reminds me of that one scene in Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me.

Austin: "This coffee smells like shit!"
Basil: "It is shit, Austin."
Austin: "Oh, it's not just me, then."

*Slurp*

Austin: "It's a bit nutty."

Which one's this? If it's in L.A., I must have stumbled upon it at one point. And do they serve Balut?

Damn, the withdrawal syndromes are already kicking in for me. I'm sure John over in Afghanistan feels the same way as well. It's been over six months since I left L.A., and now I'm craving not only for In-N-Out Burger and Jamba Juice, but also my other all-time favorites:

Bob's Big Boy, Burbank, CA - Chili & Spaghetti Size
The Bear Pit, Mission Hills, CA - The Kodiak
Curry House, Little Tokyo, CA - Hamburger or Chicken Katsu Curry on Spaghetti Noodles (Extra Hot Curry)
Orochon Ramen, Little Tokyo, CA - Anything under Special 1 level (unless your pain threshold is high).

You'll just have to wait for publication of the Sticky Fingers Bakery cookbook. heh heh

Actually, in truth, many good vegan recipes abound on the internet and elsewhere. But I will tell ya that the place with the best veggie burgers is Johnny Rockets. Mmmm, I love me some of them.
