Cuz I like the lyrics and the way they blend in and fit with the guitars, Anders is a very skilled guitarist, writing good simple music is a quality I respect. Jonas's voice adds the capslock to the AMAZING... Plus off-course the good atmopshere and feel the songs has, The way they incorporate feelings to their songs, all in all cuz their music is so damn brilliant!!!!

Because they are Gods. They do such a great music with great lyrics. I love Jonas' voice and very true that Anders is a very skilled guitarrist. I love him. I love all of them. I love Katatonia, my favourite band.

- The hypnotic guitar lines
- Jonas' understated yet affecting vocals - their ability to sound mournful no matter what they play - their uniqueness - their ability to successfully reinvent themselves - the abstract yet instantly connecting lyrical content - their songs are often simple yet atmospheric and highly distinctive - Viva Katatonia!

For me, id have to say the major thing that draws me to their music are particular memorable riffs and haunting parts that Anders plays...
For example...im listening to Tonight's Decision right now...some of my favorite parts are from No Good Can Come Of This (the clean passage right after the heavy opening) and the lead part on Strained (kicks in right after it starts...sounds awesome with the ultra heavy but soft sounding part Fred plays behind it) i also like listening to them when im depressed or when i feel like shit...it doesnt really make me feel better, but it makes me feel better in some way...hard to explain |
