I still like it better than Leaders thats for sure. I appreciate the contrast between the heavy, and vulnerable sides. Something that Leaders lacked.

I still despise Leaders. Such an emotionless, undriven song. One of three-four songs I dislike in the entire Katatonia disco.

I don't get a lot out of TGCD in general. They wanted to make a cold an sterile album, and they succeeded. I'm just glad they rectified that with the B-sides.

Well, I suppose you'll like this new song then, because it's packed with emotion and quite driven.

Leaders is genius imo. Perfect opener for TGCD, it has a feeling of paranoia and suspense that I love, the echoing melodies on that song just rule.

TGCD has grown a lot for me over the years really, I love the most the tracks. Guitarwise it can be a bit monotone but the vocal stuff and feeling of it is genius

I don't see the appeal. It just sort of twangs along with an almost tough guy-ish vibe. No interesting guitarwork and no vocal hooks either by Katatonia standards.

I like it. Feels great after the years without new material. I wonder how some of the sounds were achieved, if thats a sample, a keyboard or an insanely modified guitar.. whatever..

And Jonas outshines himself.

Im happy.

I don't see anything wrong with Leaders, it's not my favorite song and not even my favorite off The Great Cold Distance (that spot is reserved for Journey Through Pressure, In The White, and Follower), but it's still not a bad song. I think the band produced and wrote the song exactly how they wanted it, and so therefor it serves it's purpose. Some people may "get" that purpose more than others, and that is entirely dependent upon personal circumstances in life.

I have to say that it really sounds better after my 10th ot 11th time. But still not what I expected from Katatonia standards...

Vocal melodies and clean guitar parts are great. Tuff guy groove riffs = no.

Well. The riffing is groovy, sure, but way removed from, say, roots bloody roots.

I prefer drive to groove. The clean guitar parts are absolutely marvelous though.
