It's been quite a good/average first half of 2006.
Still to come are albums from Haggard, Iron Maiden, Manticora, Symphony X, Pain of Salvation, Megadeth, to name a few. Share here you'r top albums of 2006 so far. At the top of my head I can only remember the following: Coldseed - Completion Makes the Tragedy Blind Guardian - A Twist in The Myth (promo) Duel of Fate - Don't Leave This World Eternal Tears of Sorrow - Before the Bleeding Sun Liv Kristine - Enter My Religion Elvenking - The Winter Wake Adagio - Dominate Evergrey - Monday Morning Apocalypse Beyond Fear - Beyond Fear Dark Sun - El Lado Oscuro Saurom - Juglar Metal Scar Symmetry - Pitch Black Progress Pyramaze - Legend of the Bone Carver Agalloch - Ashes Against The Grain Brother Firetribe - False Metal IMO some disappointments were: The Gathering - Home Theatre of Tragedy - Storm And yes...I'm kind of bored and I don't feel like updating some bands today haha. ![]() |

Dysrhythmia - Barriers and Passages
Andromeda - Chimera Hammers of Misfortune - The Locust Years The Mars Volta - Amputecture (not out yet) Prototype - Continuum Hypnotheticall - Promo 2006 Yakuza - Samsara Sikth - Death of a Dead Day (though disappointing compared to the last) Kopecky - Blood Textures - Drawing Circles (good, not fantastic) Lacuna Coil - Karmacode (decent, not great) Need to hear Thessera and new Novembre still, and probably a few others. I've been buying mostly stuff I missed over the last few years, to be honest, so I haven't kept up with 2006.

If your going to check out Agalloch...you MUST OWN the album "The Mantle". Downloaded or buy it, whatever...it's a masterpiece.
![]() Listen to it in a calm, quiet place...with some candles on and ....before that you could listen to some Sade to get in mood...j/k . Anyway...uh ....gotta listen to it, later! |

I have all 3 of their earlier ones on mp3 already. I'll probably pick 'em up someday, but they're not a huge priority to be honest. Good stuff, but not as great as others make them seem. Of course, more listens might change that opinion.
