Black Majesty in Germany
According to their website, Black Majesty have been invited to play the Headbangers Open Air in Germany on Friday July 8th. Sounds like a two-pronged Aussie power metal assault on Europe coming up!

Reckon this is excellent news!
![]() ![]() The more Aussie who make a mark in Europe, the better -in a form, 'cause we don't want a talent drain like we had back in the 80's (Nick Cave, INXS, etc), but still, good to hear. Don't really know much of Black Majesty's material but I's like what I's have heard and their EPIC POWER stylings should go over well with the Germans. Black Majesty: we slaute you! ![]() ![]()

I hope they (BM) can gel as a live band properly before they tour. They're all monster players and Gio is an amazing vocalist but I've seen them live twice now and they were rather inconsistent, so hopefully when they hit Germany they're on fire because a gig like that can make or break a band.

'Sands of Time' is a good album. I only got to see em once, and I was pretty dissapointed.... From what I heard the second time they played here was worse. Look forward to seeing them in june though, hopefully they do gel.

Good band, but nothing within their own material really hit the spot or left any inspiration. Covering Halford (Vic on the Park, Jan. 2004) resulted in a big thumbs up for me! I'll still probably check out the new album when it's released...

Black Majesty would be my favourite Australian band I really like what they do. Remind me of old Jag Panzer especially the vocals. I think they will slay them in Germany! Looking forward to the Silent Company album very much!
Mark from The Eternal was only filling in on bass. I see Evan Harris from Taramis who played on the first Black Majesty album is playing live with Black Majesty now. I thought both Sydney shows I went to were really good too. Would be great if Danny C or Silvio Massaro comes out with em again.

Actually BGK "Ample Destruction" is one of my favourite 80s metal albums, but I really can't see the similarity between them and BM. For mine, BM sounds more like Queensryche and the closest resemblance I can draw to early Jag Panzer is Manowar, but everyone hears different things. I think we're both in agreement that they are good bands, though.

Black Majesty are awesome I'd love to see them live (with or without the inconsistency, preferably without though
) and they look like somethin' special for Aussie Metal. They would be my favourite Aussie metal band MUSIC wise, but Dungeon have more consistently better songs. And Vanishing Point just fuckin' rock!
