FESTIVAL OF THE DEAD 2006 coming soon...

To celebrate the 1st Anniversary of Post-Mortem Records existance, a 2 day event has been scheduled for the 3rd and 4th November at 2 venues in Sydney. This will become an annual event and will only get bigger!

This event will feature the best metal bands from around the country with a special guest international headlining band!

More info will be announced next month...

Constantly thinking about death, and the afterlife, and stuff like that, i don't want to think about that stuff anymore, it just freaks me out.

The punters and bands will have to decide if MFTB go ahead with that date.

I'd say so, not only is a clashing with a charity event not cool, unless your headliner is massive, you're going to be the one who loses the punters.

Ummmm dude, I announced the date to all the Sydney promoters along time ago and even posted the dates up online in April to avoid any clashes. MFTB had announced their date for 2nd September.
I had done well above what any promoter should have to do to avoid clashes. A couple of phone calls by the MFTB staff when they were rescheduling would have shown that weekend taken.
Remember mate, they are the ones clashing with me, not the other way round!!!

Yep! Put it this way....so that people dont think Im a total cunt!
If the international cancels, Ill cancel the festival.
If the international goes ahead, MFTB maybe in trouble unless they purchase Cannibal Corpse or my headliner to play their gig.

its just terrible luck. i feel so sorry for you man. but unfortunately its like a david vs goliath battle. same weekend as the biggest festival in australia and basically the annual metal pilgrimage. i dunno what you can do!

Why should you cop it for this PM? You have done nothing wrong here. You announced this well in advance so if anyone is to blame here, its the MFTB staff who didn't check up on the dates before rescheduling.

He's gunna cop it for the simple fact that he will be competing with MFTB, he'll cop it right in the pockets.

Beside the point that he is in the right here, he's still up against the biggest weekend on the Australian metal calender, and that can never be good.

What I meant by, PM said that so he doesn't seem like a cunt, he would move the fest if the international cancels. I don't think he is looking like the bad guy here. As I said, PM announced this well in advance.

He is going up against MFTB, so of course, its risky, but maybe the bands PM has for FOTD will stay on the fest as they may have already confirmed. Who knows.
