I'd say the sanigav boys could be very flexible considering the venue would almost be definetly theirs on which ever weekend they wanted. It's the second biggest cash spin for the Uni after Stonefest.

On a side note, I wish they would set out MFTB the same as stonefest, that outside undercover stage is such a better system then the split bar/all ages stage nonsense they have now.

Even if the Sanigav boys do change the date, you've also got other gigs and international acts to compete with.

Such as Queensryche and then Danzig and other international acts that are coming in October and November.

So, unless you international headliner is massive and universally popular with Australian metalheads and you've got a monster of a publicity machine, it's still going to be pushing shit up hill.

Damn that sux Mike! I know all about gig clashes and know that sometimes they're unavoidable. Unfortunate really as i know Mike checked out that date ages ago as well as letting other promoters know(me included). It is really harsh cause MFTB has been advertised for that weekend(sept 2nd) for ages now and by moving it they are gonna clash with something Mike & PM have been working really hard to put together.
I hope it all works out.

I don't have a problem getting to sleep the problem is waking up between 2 and 4 in the morning and being unable to sleep for 1-3 hours.

sometimes I wake up two or three times a night an hour each time.

I don't mind as much when it happens on Monday night/tuesday mornings though, I just switch on 2RRR's Metal Never Sleeps - last night was 80's Metal.
