Well my decision just got alot easier.... got passed over for the job in the city. They offered me a spot on the dayshift, but it's paying the same as what I'm on now and would mean peak hour travel into the city

Yes, but if you think about it, the opportunity for change and growth far outweights remaining where you are, and as a bonus you don't have anything to lose!

It came crashing back to me, and it was apparent, suddenly, that i had invented the recollection. What was real? Memory is not the reliable source people think it." |

True true.... I'm still waiting to hear back from Silverwater. If they knock me back (which I'm still doubting they will), I will see how flexible the city job is on the pay rate. If I can talk them up to what I'm on now ($1500 more then the offer)... I'll probably take it. My other goal will be to score roster times OUTSIDE peak hour. Even if it means starting work at 7am

Sorry to hear about that.
(I only say this based on all that I hear from the people who work there - including my g/f who left after 4 years)

How could you work at a JB hifi store, without spending more money then you can make??
Anyway I'm happy because my web/graphics design contract for E*TRADE has just been extended for another 2 months with a possibility of staying on fulltime/parttime depending on what I want to do after.. woo!!

I must admit I have not got anything from there in a long time, I have mainly been getting stuff from ebay of late anyway, generally cheaper and I have been getting things that you can't get here(readily) as well.

I was going to put this post in what pisses you off, but figure it belongs here....
FUCKING PRICKS! After being specifically told during the interview process that they were looking for someone "without data centre experience because we do things a bit differently here", I just got a rejection notice because I "don't have adequate experience within a data centre" |
