Question for Tim
Hey Lord Tim just got one question what scales do you use in your solos and melodys because me and my mates have figured some of Dungeons songs by ears but we are having great diffeculty trying to find out how to play the melodys so if we new the scales you used it would make it easiyer.
Only if it's okay with you LT if you don't like giving away your licks and stuff don't worry just about every guitarist is like that. Thanks anyway ![]() Also we have Music presentations for elective and we are planning to do Legend of Huma and perform it to the school, so knowing the scales to that song would be useful. Thanks again ![]() |

Anyone who is scared about telling people what scales and things they use is a paranoid loser. It's not what you know, it's how you use it in the end.
You'll find 99% of the time I'm using straight Minor (Aeolian Mode) or Minor Pentatonic scales, or Major scales - even the most progressive stuff is based on this. I'll branch into other modes if the song calls for it and I'll throw in altered scale degrees and passing tones if I feel like it too. There's no real secret to it. For Huma, it's mostly minor in the solo but it goes to Dorian Mode and Harmonic Minor briefly over certain chords. |
