Any recommendations on good LAN games? Having the dudes around here on the weekend for a nerdfest, trying to think of stuff to add to the list;

Starcraft
Warcraft III
Command & Conquer 3
Dawn of War + Expansions
Battlefield Vietnam/2
Counterstrike (If I can find a copy)
Unreal Tournament '03

Basically anything fun that'll run on older machines (1GB RAM or under, older video cards, single core processors). We should have a chipped Wii too, so I daresay we'll all be playing Brawl 90% of the time

(Friend ordered the Japanese version when he heard the Freeloader was coming soon. Game got here, ordered a freeloader but blanked out and chose free shipping... He also ordered the US version of Brawl for whatever reason too. 'Tard)

AA... if you know the game (becuase it's hard to get used to initially, and requires good teamwork), is fucking awesome via LAN. Also, get a copy of Far Cry. It doesn't need a whole lot of GPU or Ram if you have a decent cpu, and runs smoothly or not at all usually. The multi on that is really fun, the maps are huge and look fuckin sweet. It owns UT 03 for looks and fun if you ask me. Vietnam also, as you said, but get the battlefield 1942 re-mod for it, it's awesome, and point of existance, which is basically BF-2 for machines that can't play the actual game.

Just a heads up for people thinking about buying Bully on Xbox360. Seems they didn't fix a major bug in the game before releasing it. There is alot of freezing and crashing in the game which alot of people have experienced. Rockstar are working on a patch at the moment to fix it, so I would wait a week or two before buying it...by then the patch should be ready to download to the harddrive.

Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 will be released on Thursday. I'm getting my copy when I head to the city. You can get a limited edition which comes with alot of useless crap, but I'm just interested in the game itself. The original R6:V is only $44 at JB Hifi at the moment, great bargain.

Condemned 2 is also being released on the same day. JB Hifi have a limited edition aswell, which can only be bought online. Its like $89 and you get the game on either PS3 or Xbox360 with a free Condemned 2 shirt.

Other games to look out for, Army of Two. Much like Gears of War but alot more stripped down. Still a great game, but the game relies heavily on its multiplayer and Xbox Live options.

One more thing, If you preorder a copy of GTA: IV from JB Hifi you'll get a free GTA: IV license plate.

I finally got around to finishing off Lost Odyssey, I think that goes down as my favorite game on the Xbox, until probably GTA IV comes out. But it will be hard to match they are different sorts of games.

It took me 47 hours to complete the game..It should of only been 40 but I forget to teach my Immortals some moves that are necessary in the last boss so it took alot of grinding to recover, a tip for those who are playing the game.

Damn, only 40 hours of play. Final Fantasy X had around 140 hours of play...and that was on one disc. lol! Never the less Lost Odyssey is an awesome game. I've nearly completed disc 2 and have been playing for about 18 or so hours. I'm using the strategy guide which is a huge help.

Did you complete all the bonus missions, Josip? There is about an extra 15 to 20 hours of play if you complete and teach all the 'immortals' training and look for their hidden weapons.

That's what you gotta do i think... play it through once like a noob, then come back at a later time and do all the hidden questions and finish all the little things.
