By wireless I'm guessing you don't mean bluetooth?

My guess would be that wireless tech doesn't miniturise as well as bluetooth does

My thoughts on those:

1. The first ones seem quite large- if they are heavy it would make the in-ear part uncomfortable for long periods of time.
2. If you do buy sound isolation headphones make very very sure you buy extra packs of the replaceable soft bit that goes in your ear before they can no longer be found (D'OH)
3. I have some which arent wireless but were expensive dual driver sound isolation earphones - they are not for everyone! Try before you buy if you can. Given the expense of mine, I'd be very afraid of losing one if it were wireless!!
4. If there were expensive wireless ones, a non-replaceable battery (ie: planned obsolescence) would be a big turn off for me...

I'm in Adelaide and thought I'd check out the ANZAC day march - haven't been to one of these since they held them in the suburbs when I was a kid. Anyone remember those?

Question: Is there any connection between bagpipers and the ANZAC or is it just aesthetic to have them in the march?

Also, I noticed what looked like the Armani regiment, a group of around 50 or so early 20's guys, very clean cut in immaculate suit/tie combinations. Who are these guys? I thought they may be current soldiers but they weren't solemn enough, to be honest they looked like the bogans you see at the racetrack on ladies day, all dressed up for the chicks and hanging to hit the piss. A local football team?

Was cool to see the bi-planes overhead, horses and nicely restored jeeps.

A bit of trivia - one of the designers of the SL/R was a jeep fan and it influenced the design of the steering wheel and instrument cluster.

Not sure if it's apparent in pic above but it's quite a large diameter.

I'm pretty sure bagpipers are traditionally part of marching bands

Ah.

Wasn't sure if there was some obligatory Scottish connection to the ANZAC, I'm sure some had Scottish heritage.

Has anyone ever used the UK online store Zavvi.com?

Somethings that I want to order from them but they have everything calculate in pounds and pence and not sure how quick they are to send things out here. Though supposedly their international shipping is only 99 pence.

any help would be appreciate.

99p? Has to be surface then. Sticky taped to the outside of an oil tanker.

Seriously though I have had some things from the UK at very reasonable postage rates. The other thing to realise is that the company might be in the UK, but their stock warehouse might be in China. I can buy led light globes from china for $7 delivered- they take about 10 days to get here.

I have had some things take 7-8 weeks to come from the US via surface mail, and by that time my kid had almost grown out of them!

Companies in China are fond of free/ridiculously low postage nowadays, I don't know why.

OK so this has been bugging me for days. There is an actor who I'm trying to think of the name of.

He's American, getting older now, not particularly leading-man material - I don't remember seeing him in a lead role. Gets cast as a nerd but never not in a wimpy way, usually plays wonk types - bureaucrats, managers, etc - you usually see him in a suit. Big forehead, usually wears glasses with rectangular frames. Straight brown hair that usually sticks up a bit. Tallish, average build. Done a lot of TV work. The only thing I can think of him actually being in is MAYBE a bit part in the West Wing, but there's 150 eps of that and I've already tried to find him. He's the kind of guy whose face everyone would recognise, and say "OHH *that* guy..."

Anyone?

Nope. I only remember vague roles, not any specific shows he's in, otherwise I'd nail it. Maybe nerdy was the wrong word. He usually plays lawyers, etc, snooty hard-nosed characters.

OK sorry.

Edit: OK I have a lead! He looks quite like the famous scientist Lawrence Krauss -

Here's a list of cast and crew including those in only a couple of episodes.

They say a picture tells 1000 words, but would it be cheating if 50 of those words were synonyms of the word 'picture'?

I guessed Miguel Ferrer. But he hasn't been in west wing... he was in crossing jordan.

The only person I could see that looks vaguely like your photo and worked on West Wing is Richard Schiff...

Any luck figuring this out? I'm a bit of a trivia tv / movie nerd and I've been struggling with it as well. I can get a picture of the guy in my head (and from your description that he looks like Krauss) but I'm drawing a blank on who he is or what he's from

It was just someone trying to link farm. They had a link to some business in their signature.
The actual post, which someone seems to have deleted now, was nonsense.

Does anyone know how deep they put the foundations of swings and monkey bars in playgrounds? Just out of interest... I'm assuming they go quite a way down, given they never topple over.
