Parkway Drive don't even have any clean vocals.. Their guitar style is predominently in the world of metal, with a blend of hardcore thrown in. The vocal style is not hardcore but metal.

I mean, i think some people forget that until the last few years, hardcore music was seen as bands like Sick of it All, Madball, Agnostic Front.. Bands far closer to the punk world than the metal world. One thing that continually amazes me is how the definition of hardcore music has changed and how the kids coming through at the moment have a very different idea of what a hardcore bands sounds like. Heaps of hardcore bands in 80's and 90's didn't even have breakdowns, and now it seems like the sole stylistic thing that gets a band classified as hardcore.

That doesn't mean you have to like these sorts of bands. It's just I think if people actually analysed the music, they would find that some of it is actually a lot more closely related to the metal bands they love than they realise.

Hardcore hasn't changed, only people's definition of it.

imho IKTPQ are a very over rated band, I have tried getting into them, but I cant stand that brand of metal, and the people that go to their gigs are just knobs

You would know I guess, but seeing as you refuse to feature 'em on your site it can't have been that great.

And send me that stuff you bastard.

Tool have announced shows for Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane for January, and will surely be headlining BDO as well.
