I hope the cover art is half decent for once. Don't get me wrong, but i just felt that dungeon, and now lord especially, would benefit most from something epic and hand drawn rather than another rusty and pixelated photoshop job.
I understand that comissioning an artist is something alot of bands just can't afford, and with good reason, but i'd love to see you guys have something that could actually grab potential buyers. Something like Iced Earth or Kamelot. I have every faith that the album will be brilliant, but let's face it: great cover art is almost essential to push into the mass market. My 2 cents anyway. Best of luck with recording, and can't wait to hear it. |

I have to agree with Tim above...as mindblowingly awesome as Dungeon were, I felt the cover art was sometimes not as cool as everything else.

Agreed, every dungeon album cover is lacking (except for perhaps TFC, as simple as the cover is, it fits the album). One Step Beyond could've been good with more detail and color etc.

Isn't it the one that had that behemoth-looking monster dude about to crush shit? I can't remember the exact cover off the top of my head, just remember it looking cool. I'll have to check when I get home.

That'd be the SMPM (US/Euro) version, that was fucking cool IMHO, but not altogether relevant and probably a little too cheese for the type of band Dungeon was. The Australian release had a chick standing on top of a Southern-cross-clad temple (or something of the sort) being struck by lightning while huge flaming pyres raged in front of her.
I think ARTP (Aus) was an awesome concept but just not quite high enough quality on the second glance. OSB was good quality but didn't really catch the eye. TFC had an advantage on the other two in that it was kinda a KISS philosophy, but again, not very eye-catching.

Yeah, the aussie ARTP would've been alot better if done in photoshop or something along those lines instead of 3d rendering, it lacks any real detail. And the closeup on the inside cover of the girl doesn't make it look any better either.

Serious? I bought mine on eBay so I'm not really surprised it was a foreign release version but I thought the foreign ones had the cover song bonus tracks on it but mine doesn't have them.

The aussie one has both bonus/cover songs, but I think the european one was missing Wasted Years.

If you liked the Scarymetalpoomonster cover then I'm afraid you'll be disappointed with the LORD cover - it's somewhat more sinister and less pooncy than that!
![]() If I could sum up the LORD cover in one word, I'd use: savage. ![]()

There was 2 versions of the LMP release - the standard edition which had nothing except for the album songs (and the "awesome" artwork) and the limited edition version which had 1 of the bonus tracks from the Australian release.

Closer to release, do you think you can release some of the early concept art for the cover? That's always great fun to see, and usually builds up a good amount of hype. |

Yeah, MIM picked up the rights to this in late 2006, so any copies after November 2006 that have the bonus "The Art Of War" video clip listed on the back is the MIM re-release.
It's not a major change from the 2004 Metal Warriors release, really, but it's a little brighter and there's a few changes to the sounds to make it a little more exciting (plus the video and bonus track, of course). It's the one to get if you haven't bought it before and if you have it's a nice collector's piece. ![]() |

I might get it then, because my Metal Warriors version is scratched.
Also, i saw an ad for LMP in Metal Edge and it had a pic of Ressurection with hell weird cover art, is this the Overseas Re-Release art? And, is the album any different to the Aussie version?
