Hey, everyone!

Welcome to the official LORD forum, previously the Dungeon forum.

This is a generally really friendly place where you can interact with metal fans from around the world, and even the band itself. We're on here pretty regularly and are happy to answer your questions if we can!

But before you post, there are a few guidelines and rules that we ask you to follow to make your stay here fun for both you and our existing user base.


FORUM ARRANGEMENT

There are 3 areas that make up the LORD forum:

LORD Forum - this is the main discussion forum where most of the conversation will be centered around LORD, LORD related projects, questions for the band and occasionally other topics that are important or serious enough to warrant placing in the main forum.

LORD News and Gigs - this forum is only able to be posted to by the forum moderators and band themselves and is there to provide a central place for official LORD news and gig information.

LORD Off-Topic - not every conversation has to be about LORD, so this forum was designed to cater for all other chatting that goes on that would otherwise clutter up the main forum.

We will discuss the rules for the main and off-topic forum next.


BACKGROUND INFORMATION

Please understand that this forum is leased from Ultimate Metal by Dominus Entertainment (the parent company of LORD and other associated projects). It is not a free-for-all forum where anything goes, and your ability to post here - while very much appreciated - is a privilege, not a right. Basically, we pay for it so we have final say about what is and what isn't acceptable on this forum.

The rules that govern this forum are also accompanied by the general Ultimate Metal rules as well as Australian law, so while we may not have a specific guideline in for a particular item, it's usually common sense and common knowledge of what would be acceptable that comes into play.

Please note that the views expressed in these forums may not necessarily be the views shared by Dominus Entertainment, and any links to external sites may contain material that is out of our hands.


FORUM RULES: MAIN FORUM

What is on-topic:

• Conversations about LORD, LORD related projects (such as Dungeon, Ilium, FROMBEYOND, etc.) are obviously on topic
• Questions for the band
• LORD gig information, roll calls, photos, reviews
• Sightings of LORD related items on eBay
• Occasional "serious" or "important" topics, that the moderators deem relevant to include on the main forum list. For example, intelligent discussion about the music industry, live scene, or even other well thought out topics, not necessarily related to LORD nor music

What is off-topic:

• Random chat that has nothing to do with LORD related projects, that would be best taken to the Off-Topic forum, Private Messages, or instant messaging
• Personal attacks, flaming, abuse of any member
• Racism or religious slurs
• Any disrespect to LORD, LORD's business associates, families, or the moderators
• Any linking or attaching illegal or immoral content such as bestiality, child porn, illegal "warez" software, copyrighted material, stolen goods, explicit pornography
• Any attempt to phish, hack the forum or users' accounts
• Impersonating any other member or moderator, or a member of the band
• Any trolling, flaming, duplicate and/or joke accounts, or otherwise disruptive behaviour

On the main forum, we want to keep it fairly lean and clean so to encourage a good environment to have meaningful conversation or ask and receive answers relating to LORD. We will not tolerate anyone seeking to disrupt this and offenders will be subject to the following disciplinary actions:

1. Any threads made off topic to the main forum will be moved to the off-topic forum. We don't expect everyone to know what is on or off topic, but if you constantly do it and it's obvious that the thread is off-topic then you will receive a warning via PM from a moderator.
2. If any of the other rules are broken, you will receive a warning from a moderator. If this warning goes unheeded and you continue to break the rules, a UM-wide ban will be in place for 1 day.
3. If you break the rules again, then it will be a 1 week UM-wide ban.
4. If you break the rules again, then it will be a permanent ban from the main LORD forum.
5. Any one caught breaking any global UM rules, such as impersonating another user or moderator will receive a permanent UM-wide ban.

We don't want to squeeze all of the fun out of the forums but these rules are in place so everyone has a fun time, not just a select few people. Mostly, we'd ask you to think before you post on the main forum so that it doesn't get unnecessarily clogged up.


FORUM RULES: OFF-TOPIC FORUM

What is on-topic:

• There is really no topic list, it's "whatever goes" but WITHIN REASON. Please keep in mind the first thing that I mentioned earlier about this being a private forum, so the same general rules apply.

What is off-topic:

• Personal attacks, flaming, abuse of any member
• Racism or religious slurs
• Any disrespect to LORD, LORD's business associates, families, or the moderators
• Any linking or attaching illegal or immoral content such as bestiality, child porn, illegal "warez" software, copyrighted material, stolen goods, explicit pornography
• Any attempt to phish, hack the forum or users' accounts
• Impersonating any other member or moderator, or a member of the band
• Any trolling, flaming, duplicate and/or joke accounts, or otherwise disruptive behaviour

This forum is lightly moderated, that is, we will let a lot of arguments and chat play out until it dies, unless there's a specific complaint made to a moderator or it starts to break one of the above rules.

We will be fairly lenient in what constitutes "abuse" of members in the forum as arguments do happen when topics get heated, BUT there is a line that you can cross with this! Don't go out of your way to be spiteful to anyone because if we do get a lot of complaints, the same 3 ban rule that we have in place will come into force even on this off-topic forum.

In general, try to think before you post and decide is it really necessary to get that last word in? Would you say what you were planning to say in person in real life? If the answer is no, then don't post it. Use some common sense and common respect.

That forum is there for everyone to have a good time, so please help make it a fun place!


LORD FORUM MODERATOR

The "person" who enforces the rules around here is the LORD Forum Mod.

That account isn't a single user, in fact it's shared by 5 or 6 people who log in to use it to keep the rules upheld and the forum running smoothly. You'll notice that the Forum Mod is very cold and straight-to-the-point, and only deals in facts. That's intentional as that is his/her only purpose.

The Forum Mod isn't there to make friends, the account is purely to do a job so please don't take it as anything other than that.

I should point out that contrary to what a lot of people thought when that account was first established, it's NOT just me. Obviously I use the account to moderate the forum but I'm just one of many people who may be logged in as the Forum Mod. Think of it like Big Brother in a way.

If you have any complaints about any users or behaviour on the forum, please contact the LORD Forum Mod and it will be taken care of. Don't contact any band members or me or whatever, we made that Forum Mod account for this reason and only the Forum Mod will take any action.


So that's how it all works! We hope you enjoy the forums and have a good time posting here! This is one of the longest serving Aussie metal forums on the net and in our opinion, one of the best.
