Vote for the Ascendence song you want to hear!

Hey, everyone!

First of all, welcome to all of you who came here via our MySpace bulletin or promotion around various news sites and 'zines - it's great to have you here and we hope you stick around to join in on the discussions and be a part of our awesome community we have here!

Over the last couple of weeks, we've been previewing songs from our album "Ascendence" which will be out in Japan on August 22, and in Australia somewhere around that time (I have a tentative date of August 21, which I'll confirm as soon as the label tells me for sure). The response we got from the songs was simply astounding and we raked up hundreds of plays in just a few days of each song being online!

Well, all of the songs have had their turn now but we'd like to have a song permanently online up until the album is released.

This is where you come in!

We'd like you to vote for the song you'd like to hear on our MySpace page. As a reminder, short 90 second samples of all of the songs from "Ascendence" have been uploaded to the MP3 SAMPLES page on the LORD site. Have a listen to each to refresh your memory and cast your vote!

This poll will be open for the next 7 days and then we'll choose which song to upload.

If you're a casual visitor, you must register with Ultimatemetal.com to vote, but believe me, it's well worth it! Besides the LORD forum, there's dozens of awesome bands and online communities to check out.

EDIT: Just so as you know, this poll is multiple choice, so if you can't choose between your top 2 or 3 favourite songs, pick them all (but please don't just tick ALL of the boxes - we want to actually narrow it down by the end of the week).

We were told tonight that the date that the label expects to have everything shipped off to stores is August 21... which usually means that we have copies a week before or thereabouts (no promises!), so you'll have 'em soon!

Looks like Limb From Limb is just beating everything else out, which is pretty wild to think! Even weirder is that Rain - possibly THE MOST different sounding song to LFL - is coming in second! HAHA!

You guys are nuts!

I personally voted for Reborn, Legacy and Same Old Lines (admittedly just for the insane solos! HAHA!)

Haha. I had heard Rain before, but when it played just then I wondered how QR got onto my playlist. That voice at the start (i'm not sure if its you LT) really has that sound to it (to me anyway)!

Yeah, that's me! I've been wanting to do something like that for the last 3 albums, actually, and finally got the chance on this one.

i hope that rain does make it. while through the fire was my fav, rain is a real quality song, and i think limb from limb may be a bit of a misrepresentation (despite being a great song as well). time will tell!

I went with Rain and Through the Fire. It might be because I've had the solo sections in my head for weeks before hearing the whole songs, but genuinely I think both (esp. Rain) are killer tunes and were highlights for me amongst the whole kickass shebang.
