I don't mind giving away the tone... that's just a small part of what makes up my total tone chain, the biggest bit comes from the playing.

Yeah man thats a pretty rippin tone. Do you use that live as well? or just at home for doodlin around?

Nope, that's the sound that we use live and used for Ascendence (with extra stuff on it later as I mentioned before). The rest of the tones we use for leads and stuff are all derivative of that sound.

Yeah, but I think Eds rig was also the most over-complicated nightmare in the history of guitar performance!!

I heard having his Marshall's cranked on 10 also contributed largely to his guitar sound ...as well as his deafness.
