I dont think commerical radio stations care too much about youtube charts. Seeing as the video was only released last thurs arvo, then yeah we havent been in those charts long.

I thought he meant the music charts in general i.e. singles, etc. that goes to show how much attention I pay to them.

I do know if there's a big sale in say one record store that is monitored you can get a spike sending a song to number 1 even, like some unknown Christian band when all their CD's were bought at one Christian record store.

It is very short lived though, thus is also the case when a Metal band releases new material.

I've not paid attention to the charts in about 20 years, apart from when Far Beyond Driven went straight to number one. Are they still a big thing in this era of electronic downloads?

I think Video Hits and 'pop' radio stations still rely on them to a degree however they are biased, the last incident anywhere near Metal was probably when the Disturbed album went to no. 1 - I didn't recall hearing/seeing any Disturbed, it wasn't on the charts long I don't think. That's the thing with a small fanbase, the sales tend to spike.

Definitely not film, that would have made the clip unbelievably expensive! That said, my post processing of the footage had a lot of film grain and other effects added to it to get that film look about it.

Believe it or not, it was shot on a digital still camera that could also do 1080p video recording. It wasn't designed as a video camera primarily, but it could do the job. Put some quality lenses on it, and you have some pretty fantastic looking shots (as you would get from any quality digital movie camera with good lenses).

The other thing that's really making it look big budget is we used a lot of dolly shots (like the camera on tracks moving with the performer) and a lot of depth of focus shots where the subject was in focus but the background wasn't.

Really happy how the clip came up, hopefully the next two we have in the works look as good. The next one especially is proving to be a bastard to do, but it should come up good with any luck!
