New Service: Reamping!!!

I am now offering reamping to the community, rates are on a project by project basis, PM for details. If you are able to get quality DI's of your material, then get them all organized and shoot me a PM and we will talk tones. I will include a gear list here, so you can see what I am using.

Really cool of you to offer free reamping man!! I'm in a Power Metal band and I'm looking for a sound similar to Ayreon for our upcoming album. Looking around at different reamping options at the moment, maybe we could work with you?

Sounds cool man. To get that exact sound, that sounds a bit like Greenbacks with some post EQ, and all I've got is V30's here. Not saying I won't be able to get you a good sound though. Shoot me a PM with a sample arrangement and I'll see what I can do

Everyone who has contacted me for reamping, I just wanted to say that I am enjoying working with each and every one of you. For future customers, the way I like to do things is dial the amp in to sound good with your files, and then use a few different overdrives/mics to give you different flavors of sounds to work with, but don't be afraid to do a bit of tone chasing either. In other words don't think that what I've sent you as results is final, I will work with you to find a tone that suits your style and tastes. In the same breath, realize that what I can give to you is limited greatly by what you give me. I shouldn't have to say that poor DI's will result in poor reamps, but it's true. The whole point of the reamping process is to pretend that your guitar signal is going through a single length of cable straight into my amplifier, some many miles away through impedance changes, preamps, converters, being digitized and sent over the internet, decoded and then the whole process reverses on my end before finally going into my amp... Good quality front end gear really minimizes the effects of all of the intermediate steps, skipping a DI box is NOT an option if you value your tone.

I heard that, just doing a search on it now.

How he got that sound out of a POD I'll never know. Must be using some nice outboard stuff somewhere along the line!! I have a POD 2.0 too and it sounds pretty crap compared to my Revalver tones... hmmm

Hey gents, just a quick update. I began reamping for free just to get some real world experience under my belt before entering into the game. Now that I have had the pleasure to work with a good handful of good musicians, I am going to begin charging a reasonable fee for my online reamping service. The rules are still the same, gotta have a DI box and got to be organized, that's pretty much it. Treat me with a level of respect and friendliness and you will receive the same back. If you need reamping shoot me a PM and I'll shoot you a quote. Thanks!

Bump for re-done reamp demos. Now there is a different tone for each clip, rather than the same tone over three clips. All clips, the guitars received HP/LP only, no additional processing. Special thanks to Lolzgreg for mastering my Lasse/Mago reamp clip!
