This is to let us know about any Metal festivals anywhere in the world at anytime no matter if they are big or small, brand new or been around for 20 years.
It is also here for you to just dicuss your festival ideas,thoughts and experiences as well as perhaps give us some clues of what kind of Festivals there should be more of.Everyone loves the Metal festivals and nobody does it better than Europe who have been leading the way for many,many years now weather it be the monsterous WACKEN OPEN AIR or many of the other smaller ones that spring up every year.Lately the rest of the world seems to be throwing them into the ring.Lets talk about some of them.You may already have your tickets for some as you read this.

One of the best for traditional/oldschool Heavy/Thrash/Doom Metal is

Also great to see Australian acts making the line up. The legendary MORTAL SIN this year and the the absolutely amazing RAVEN BLACK NIGHT did the deed over their in 2007.

Hoernerfest has a bloody great lineup, I'd never heard of that fest before. I'll make sure to keep in it mind for my Europe trip next year

Germany just has the most amazing oldschool festivals no matter how big or small! These guys do these quite often and always feature some classic true Metal acts! I certainly hope to be part of one someday.

pity wacken is ruined by hatebreed being on the bill, that means downhill to the hardcore train from here on i think, but hopefully no one likes them and they leave, quietly...

I see about a dozen "real" metal bands mentioned above them so I don't think it's such a drama. The people will speak for themselves. It's nowhere near as bad as it could be (e.g. IKTPQ headlining the last MFTB).
