Sepia Dreamer Covers Nasum One Year On

It's been one year since the tragic events of the Asian Tsunami, as the saying goes "the death of one is a tragedy." However, the sad loss of one individual really hit us hard. Mieszko of Nasum was on holiday in Thailand at the time and sadly lost his life. Anders tells us that his last act was to protect his girlfriend, a fitting end to a life of a musical icon and hero to us both.
The knock on effect of this was that we lost Nasum, hands down the most relevant, challanging, extreme and stoic grindcore band of the entire second wave of the musical movement. We thought doing something was in order on this 1st anniversary and so we covered a Nasum song. The song is actually written by Anders and not Mieszko himself, so we're celebrating the career of a truely brilliant band and commiserating the loss of such when the future promised SO much.
As you listen to this cover take a moment to reflect personally on the loss of all those people, the media may be bombarding you with sentimental texts regarding this and perhaps that maybe numbs one to the true impact of the tremendous loss. However, we should not forget such things so easily, and we should thank the luck that we have been blessed with in continuing to live.
To Anders: Thanks for letting us do this, we owe you one.
To Mieszko: Hopefully this small, meagre token of our appreciations and eternal gratitude for everything.
